Thunder Oil Investment L.L.C is a limited liability company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We invest in oil and natural gas projects and set up and manage companies in the energy sector, with a focus on the African market.
Our position is unusual: we are based in one of the world's leading financial and energy centres, yet our roots are in Africa. This allows us to connect international capital with concrete opportunities in Angola and Mozambique, together with the local knowledge those investments require.
We work across the entire investment cycle: we acquire interests in assets that are already producing, finance the state partner's share of new developments, invest in capturing associated gas, and set up and manage investment vehicles with local and international partners.
Our model is built on long-term partnerships. We do not seek to compete with national oil companies but to complement them with capital, structure and discipline, respecting their approval processes and each country's local content policies.
